Park City has a history of uniqueness. After the discovery of silver in 1868, the small mining camp grew into a rough and ready boomtown where miners, gamblers, merchants, saloonkeepers and ladies of the evening from almost every country put Park City on the world map. After the city's 1884 incorporation, mining flourished until the 1930's and gradually declined into the 1960's. The first ski resort was started in 1946 and in the early 1960's the now Park City Mountain Resort saved the city from ghost town status. From the early days of silver mining to the modern-day arts, entertainment, and outdoor mecca it has become, Park City has always stood out from any other town in Utah or in the entire West.

Today Historic Main Street is renowned for its great restaurants, art galleries, shopping and a mixture of restored historic buildings and complementary new construction.  Old Town Park City situated between the Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley is the center of visitor activity with lots of personality. The old-time mining town is still apparent.

The Old Town area of Park City is a popular location for buying a home or condo whether it's for a second home or a primary residence.  You are a short walk from the Main Street shops and wonderful restaurants as well as close to Park City Mountain Resorts town lift.  You get the best of both worlds in the Old Town area location.
