5-Star Dining on a 3-Star budget: Burgers & Bourbon at the Montage, Locals' Style

Spring and fall are great times to visit Park City and look at homes for sale.  These are quiet seasons in town and not only are restaurants and trails less crowded, but you're much more likely to be able to get in to see homes for sale since vacation rentals and second homes are likely to be vacant during these times.

Many restaurants in Park City offer discounts during the off-season, often advertising specials in our local paper, the Park Record. One of these is Burgers & Bourbon.  A year or two ago, the Montage took the bar area of their flagship restaurant Apex and rebranded it as a more casual dining option with its own menu.  Ordinarily, you could easily spend upwards of $80 - $100 per person. However, when we bring your own bottle of wine, pay the $20 corkage fee, and mention the 2-for-1 burger special advertised in the Park Record, we've been able to have a very nice dinner for $60 - $70 for a couple, all in.  Great food, great views, great service.  Of course, we are always sure to tip based upon the pre-discount total.

And look who happened to stop by the Empire Lodge next door to say hi!
