Park City Real Estate News| Blog

I snapped this picture while mountain biking last week. You can see the new restaurant, to be called Miners Camp and replaces the old Snow Hut, under construction. In the background, you can see the new Quicksilver Gondola route as well the Silverlode chair to the left!

In case you missed Vail Resorts' recent announcement, the combination of Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort now will be called simply "Park City", with the base areas now known as "Park City Base Area" and "Canyons Village". Park City Mountain Resort is still the business name of the combined resort, but you will see just "Park City" in Vail's marketing.

With several areas in and around Park City having "Canyons" in their name, I'd like to highlight that Canyons Village

Park City Utah Neighborhoods

Park City Utah Neighborhood Search

There are many great neighborhoods in the Park City area to consider when purchasing property.  For some buyers walking distance to Park City's Main Street area is important and others may prefer a ski in ski out location at one of Park City's three ski resorts and yet others are planning to relocate their family to live here full time so they are looking for family friendly locations with easy access to trails and parks.

As a Park City Buyers' Agent, I find it is first important to determine which neighborhoods will best fit my clients' needs before looking at property.  A tour of the various neighborhoods in person is a good start. It is really hard to determine this online.  I find often buyers have felt certain

Vail Buys Park City Mountain Resort

An exciting development this week with the Vail Resorts & Talisker vs Park City Mountain Resort litigation that has been going on for about 3 years.  They settled the lawsuit with Vail buying Park City Mountain Resort so Vail Resorts will now manage both Canyons Resort and Park City Mountain Resort.

Now the Vail Epic Ski Pass includes both Canyons Resort and Park City Mountain Resort.  I'm so excited since I purchased an Epic Pass to ski Canyons Resort and now it includes two ski resorts in Park City along with the other Vail Ski Resorts.  For many years I've been asked if a ski pass could be used at more than one ski resort in Park City and now I can finally say YES!!!  This is a big game changer for…

New Willow Creek Dog Park

in Park City Utah

The Basin Recreation Center recently added a new fenced dog park next to the popular Willow Creek Park.  The Willow Creek Park has long been a locals favorite park for families with young kids.  Many travel from other neighborhoods to enjoy this area.  The new dog park has been a great addition to this popular area. It offers two large fenced areas. One area is a large grassy field great for throwing balls or a frisbee.  The other area is a large pond for dogs that enjoy swimming.  There is plenty of parking as well as restroom facilities.  As you can see in the pictures below you can also enjoy some wonderful mountain views of the Canyons Ski Resort area.

Fast Selling Park City Neighborhood

Recently local lender Rick Klein at Wells Fargo calculated from data he obtained from the Park City Board of Realtors the absorption rates for the various Park City Utah neighborhoods. It turned out for both condos and single family homes that the fastest selling area for the First Quarter of 2014 is the Silver Springs neighborhood. The absorption rate of condos for sale is 1.5 months and the absorption rate for homes for sale is 1.03 months.

This is a popular neighborhood for families who live here full time with young children.  This area is flat with lots of trails and parks throughout the neighborhood that are kid friendly.  It is also a great central location close to shopping in the Kimball Junction

Increase Curb Appeal in Park City

Custom Wood Garage Doors

Last year I purchased a beautiful custom wood garage door for my Park City Utah home from Carriage House Door Company.  I found that the new wood garage door helped to increase my home's curb appeal.  I've been working on various remodel projects around my home and this was an easy one that added a big impact to my home quickly.  One of my clients also purchased a beautiful  custom wood door from Carriage House Door Company after they saw my beautiful door which looks like piece of furniture.  Cameron who is their local representative in Utah is great to work with.

Round Valley Trails

Park City Utah

Park City Utah Homes

This weekend my husband and I enjoyed some early season mountain biking on the Round Valley trails.  The trails in this area are the first to open up in the spring for hiking and mountain biking.  In the winter this area is great for cross country skiing and snow shoeing.  The picture above is looking at one of the trail heads in the Park Meadows area.  There are five trail heads for the Round Valley Trails.  There are two in the Park Meadows area, one on Old Ranch Road, one in the Trailside Park area and one in Quinns Junction near the Park City Ice Rink.  My favorite trailhead is at Quinns Junction since there is a lot of parking and bathrooms.

Getting Ready for Mountain Biking

 Park City Utah

Park City Utah

 Park City UT

Spring is here in Park City Utah and mountain biking season has started in the lower elevations of Park City.  Round Valley is one of the popular locations to go to for early season mountain biking.  My husband and I had Troy at Flying Sprocket come to our house this week to get our mountain bikes tuned up at the convenience of our own Park City home.  He does a great job on tuning bikes and repairing bikes. Troy works on both mountain bikes and road bikes.  We sure love the convenience.  My husband mountain biked Round Valley that same day after Troy finished.
