I'm not one to overhype things, but we have had a ton of snow so far this season. After a big teaser storm in early October with the remains of that still on the upper elevations, we had a series of storms over Thanksgiving weekend and just concluded another storm cycle a couple days ago. Park City Resort has already opened about 1/3 of their terrain, and they've been opening new terrain every day. The snow is cold and skis great, both on groomed runs and off-trail. Deer Valley opens for the season on Saturday and should have similar conditions. 

I got lucky on Monday and got to the top of the Tombstone chair on the Canyons side right when they dropped the rope for the first time this season, and I got to ski 2 feet of virgin powder. Can't say

It’s a great time to visit Park City and Deer Valley resorts from now until they close for the season on April 10, 2016.  Now that we’re past the Daylight Savings Time change, the sun sets after 7:30pm and so you can have to best of both worlds of ski season and shoulder season – ski all day, and still have time to check out properties for sale!

Even if where you live the snow may have melted and flowers have started blooming, there’s still plenty of great skiing here in Park City.  Spring is coming here too, but not so quickly.  As we transition into April, crowds start to die down and it’s easier to find lodging.  And since lodging is easier to find, nightly rental properties are easier to get into to view as well.

Whether a quick day-trip or a weekend getaway, fall is a great time to visit.  The town is pretty quiet, which means you can walk right into your favorite restaurant and get a table, though call ahead to be sure that they're open.  It's also easy to get into houses, condos, and especially ski properties since most of the ones on the market will be vacant.  In between you can go on a hike, ride your bike, or take in a show at the Egyptian Theater.  For the budget minded, lodging rates rates are at their lowest.  So come on out and see us!

Spring and fall are great times to visit Park City and look at homes for sale.  These are quiet seasons in town and not only are restaurants and trails less crowded, but you're much more likely to be able to get in to see homes for sale since vacation rentals and second homes are likely to be vacant during these times.

Montage Deer Valley Sales History

Below you will find the sales history for 2011 to 2013 for sold condos at the Montage at Deer Valley Resort.  The Montage Deer Valley is a luxury ski in ski out condo hotel with many wonderful amenities.  I personally have enjoyed on many occassions their restaurant Apex.  So far as of March 15 2014, three condos have closed for 2014.  The median sold price for those sold so far this year has been $3,600,000 and the median sold price per square foot has been $1,377.  As you can see in the Sales History table that the median sold price per square foot from 2011 to 2013 went up about 7.7%.  Location in the building and views play a big part on the pricing of a condo at the Montage Deer Valley.

I met with one of the representatives who works for East West Partners which isone of the key developers for new ski in ski out homes and condos at the Village at Empire Pass at Deer Valley Resort in Park City Utah. It's a great ski in ski out project on the best part of the mountain at Deer Valley Resort.  One of their current condo projects is Arrowleaf A and Arrowleaf B.
